Valentine’s Day is a time for giving a card to your special someone and a time for giving gifts to friends, co-workers, and classmates. I wanted to start my gift-giving with a card for my husband. I challenged myself to find a new way to say “I love you” without using exactly those words. Then I found the “There’s Only One You” stamp in the Vintage Verses Stamp Set from the Sale-A-Bration brochure. At first glance it doesn’t really say “valentine” to me, but by pairing it with some of the fun, new products from the spring catalog, it turns into that special lovey-dovey sentiment I was looking for!
Using most of the same elements, I also made an adorable cookie pouch for my co-workers.
One of my favorite features of these two projects is the splattering I created using the Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz. Instead of using the spritz top that comes with the bottle, I poured some of the liquid into a smaller container and used my paintbrush to make the splatters. Adding a bit of sparkle always completes a project!
On the card I used the entire “There’s Only One You” sentiment. For the cookie pouch, I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to stamp “There’s Only You”—which shows that there are several different ways that you can manipulate stamps to make them say just what you want.
