Happy Valentine’s Day!

It comes every 365 days, but somehow I always seem to be thrown off by it. It just seems to sneak right in behind Christmas and New Year’s like the younger sibling who is always getting you in trouble. Well, not today! Today we take back Valentine’s Day!

We get it, you’re busy. You have already been to your kid’s class doing a Valentine’s Day project ‘cause you are the crafty room mom ;), helped with the valentine’s box that all the “generic” valentines will go in, and taken care of that special someone’s gift. Just as you are feeling like you have crossed all the t’s and dotted all the i’s, it happens. That knock on the door, that doorbell ringing, or that sudden realization that you have to go to work—and you totally forgot about the other people in your life.

No worries—we’ve got you covered! My Digital Studio can bail you out for nearly any occasion! I know . . .  you are thinking that you don’t have time to make a card. Well, you’re right! But, you do have time for this neat little trick I am about to show you. I call it “insta-card.”

Making an insta-card is fairly simple:

  1. Turn on the computer.
  2. Open up My Digital Studio.
  3. Eat some chocolate.
  4. Click on the photobooks & individual pages link.
  5. Choose the 8-1/2" X 11" portrait option.
  6. Choose the designer option.
  7. Grab your Diet Coke and take a big ole swig. It will be okay!
  8. Find your Be Mine framable or Valentine Love Ensemble templates and choose “next.” (You will have to hit “next” a few times and then finish to get it to pull up.)

  9.  Once the document opens, you have a couple of options: either a) print the framable as it is (because as you can see, it makes a handy gift when thrown in a frame) or b) shrink it down and put four on a sheet of paper

  10. At this point you will want to eat a little more chocolate, ‘cause hey, it’s Valentine’s Day!
  11. Warning: if you shrink it down, you will spread four times the happiness as you hand a wonderfully designed card to your coworkers/friends (with a little piece of chocolate that you picked up).

  12. Last but not least, marvel at your handiwork. Don’t worry— we won’t tell that it took you just minutes to take a framable and turn it into one of the world’s cutest Valentine’s Day cards.

Easy as that! Not only have you saved Valentine’s Day with insta-card, but you look like a rock star doing it!

Now, this might not work for everybody; let us know how you saved Valentine’s Day in the comments below!
