One of the things I want to focus more on this coming year is making cards. I am a scrapbooker and love to scrapbook. I also love to make cards, but find that I tend to make more scrapbook pages. To make sure I always have a card on hand, I’ve been trying to make a card at the same time as I make a scrapbook page. Once I’m done with my page, I make a card with the leftover pieces of paper and ribbon from my scrapbook page. Those little pieces of paper usually never get used anyway, so I find that this is a good way to use them up and get a card done at the same time. It’s a win-win! Usually the inspiration comes from the scrapbook page, too. It’s easy, and the color scheme and layout are already in the scrapbook page—so it’s simple to translate that over to a card. Now when the kids have a last-minute birthday party or an event I am going to . . . I have a card ready to go!!

Amy, Amy, Amy ... your work is always top-notch!! LOVE how you used the ticket motif on the lovely "Sophie" page ... and your birthday card is just so bright and cheery ... excellent, as always, friend!
I love this idea, Amy! I'm not much into making pages very often, but I could use the same idea and make a page once in awhile from my cards. Your page and cards are gorgeous, friend! I love the tickets repeated and the bold cheery colors. They are your trademark.
