During the month of April, every Tuesday we will be sharing ideas for new and unusual ways to use Stampin’ Up! products. Our first “tricky tip” features a creative use for cardstock!
This cake top was easy—the hardest part was deciding which punch to use. I went with the 1/4" circle because it’s a classic, and polka dots are just so springy! I’m convinced I only scratched the surface of the fun designs I could embellish my baked goods with. Just think of all the other punches and Framelits. . . !
I made a template by simply tracing a cake pan, slicing the cardstock circle into 2" strips with the Paper Trimmer, punching the strips, then taping them all back together. Too bad I forgot to snap a clean photo—but better late and in the sink than never, right?
I created the almost-Daffodil-Delight sugar by dropping in two drops of yellow food coloring and working it in to the sugar—another great trick that took about 19 seconds!
