Easy Monograms

Hi! My project today is a relatively “simple” one. I decided to create some easy monograms that could be used on packaging, stationery, note cards and envelopes—or just whatever! I think it's always fun to get something with your name or initials on it, and what better way than to be able to design your own . . . in whatever color or shape you want!

The first thing you need is cardstock or Designer Series Paper. I used our 2012–2014 In Color Designer Series Paper Stacks in Summer Starfruit and Gumball Green. I also used our First Edition Specialty Designer Series Paper. To give the monograms a little more stability, I created them using our Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets, making them easy to peel off the back and adhere wherever you want—with ease! After I adhered the adhesive backing to my already stamped paper, I chose different-sized dies or punches to create the shape of the monogram.

That's it! Really . . . easy! All you have to do now is place them onto your packaging or place one on the back of an envelope and note card. It's a great way to dress up a card or package without all the fuss. You could even give a stack of these to a favorite someone as a nice little gift!

If you would like to step it up a little, you could easily stamp additional stamps along with the monogram—or even run them through the Big Shot using a Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Have fun creating some special individual monograms yourself! :)
